Faithfulness (Through the Gospels)

“One who is faithful in a very little is also faithful in much, and one who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much.” ^Luke 16:10

Faithfulness is a reflection of our hearts. People are not faithful simply because they try harder, but because their hearts are in tune with the Lord. When someone is in love with the Lord and truly grateful for all that God has done, they cannot help but respond in faithfulness. As a response to God’s grace and goodness, a heart filled with gratitude will give their best back to God.

When our hearts are right before the Lord, we do not care how little or how much we have. This is why Jesus says, “One who is faithful in a very little is also faithful in much, and one who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much.” What is the logic behind this? Give your best no matter what situation you find yourself in. Give your all no matter how big or small your sphere of influence may be. Give your best because you want to please the Lord!

For the one who does that, God will continue to bless them because their hearts are in the right place. When our hearts are right before the Lord, we will respond with faithfulness. When our hearts are not right with God, we will begin to calculate and measure all our losses compared to our gain. I pray that you will be able to see how blessed you truly are and respond by giving your best to God. Are you being faithful today?
