"Jesus turned, and seeing her he said, 'Take heart, daughter; your faith has made you well.' And instantly the woman was made well’” ^Matthew 9:22.

Hope is for tomorrow, faith is for today. We use hope when we need strength to persevere. Hope in the character and promises of God enables us to endure through the storms of life.

However, faith is for the now. Faith is seized in the life of the moment when an opportunity presents itself. This woman, used faith and was able to receive a healing and blessing from Jesus that otherwise would not have happened. But how?

Faith moves the heart of God. There are certain things that moves God’s heart. When we love one another, it moves Him. When we serve one another it moves Him. When we genuinely worship Him it moves Him. However, faith moves God in a distinct way; faith moves God into action.

In this story, we find a woman who has been bleeding for 12 years who approaches Jesus with unwavering faith, "And behold, a woman who had suffered from a discharge of blood for twelve years came up behind him and touched the fringe of his garment, for she said to herself, 'If I only touch his garment, I will be made well’” (Matthew 9:20-21). This woman doesn’t just physically touch Jesus, she touches Him with faith. Her belief in who He is and what He can do allows for there to be a spiritual transaction that happens. This is why Jesus responds with, “Your faith has made you well” (Matthew 9:22).

Do you have faith in the Word of God? Do you have faith in the character of God? If you do, you will see the results of a life filled with faith. You will see the hand of God in and through your life. Your faith will allow you to experience things on this earth that otherwise you will not be able to. I encourage you today to pray prayers of faith and trust in who God says He is. God bless you.
